“Lord, I just can’t hang on another minute!”
Yes, my child, oh yes you can.
Just reach out and take My hand;
Watch that minute stretch like a rubber band.”
The minute becomes a week, a year.
In circumstances I thought I couldn’t bear,
He came down and held me near,
Whispered softly in my ear
As He wiped away a tear,
“Listen, Child, you need not fear,
For to Me you are so dear.
Each time things don’t go as you had planned
And another moment you just can’t stand,
Just reach out and take My hand;
Watch that minute stretch like a rubber band.”
