You know that feeling when you’re really tired, but it’s a good tired because there was joy in the journey?
That’s kind of how I feel tonight.
But it’s not because I had a trouble-free day. Rather, it is because I felt the Presence of the Lord God with me all day, helping me and guiding me through the difficulties!
If you read the post right before this one, you’ll have a better idea of what I’m talking about.
Yesterday, my daughter and I decided to try to do a 24-hour fast together. It was her idea, and it was perfect timing, because I had broken my tooth that morning, and that would give me 24 hours of not chewing and give the nerves of my tooth some time to calm down.
We succeeded with skipping lunch and supper yesterday and were feeling pretty well, and this morning I had planned on just resting.
My plan failed.
My mom fell around 8:30 in the morning, and I had to take her to the emergency room to get x-rays. I won’t go into all the running that I had to do, but between that and taking my daughter to a youth event, it pretty much took up the whole day.
Right before I left to go take Mom to the ER, I read this gem:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8 NASB
AND HE DID!
It’s like I floated through the day with things falling into place, like God’s hand was guiding the events. In fact, I believe for sure that that’s what He did for me!
He kept His promise, like He always does! He instructed me in the way I should go. He counseled me with His eye upon me!
He kept me in the Secret Place of His Presence!
So, even though I’m tired now, I am happy because my BEST FRIEND guided me through what would otherwise have been a difficult day. Oh, and the other good news is that my mom did not break any bones! But she does still have a lot of pain in her hip, so prayers would be appreciated for her.
P.S. I noticed a few minutes ago that I’ve written 199 posts, so this one is my 200th!
Have you ever had a day or week where God’s Presence was just SO real and you just knew He was leading you and helping you through the difficulties? I’d love to hear about it! 🙂 Please feel free to share in the comments below.
Praise God , your mom did not break any bones, I will certainly keep her in prayer. I understand good days like this; They’ve been more frequent because I am learning to cast all my cares on Him. I am learning to trust and rely on His love. Thanks for sharing

Yes, Praise God, and thank you so much, Brenda, for keeping her in your prayers! The doctor says the pain should get better in 7 to 10 days, but she needs help so she won’t fall again as she’s healing.
I’m so glad to hear that you’ve experienced God’s closeness and obvious guidance as well! I read a lot more articles about people NOT being able to perceive His Presence than BEING able to. Thanks for responding! 😊

Thank you, T. R.! Yes, my tooth feels better for now, though it will get disturbed again in about 10 days when they put a crown on it. So, continued prayers are appreciated! 😊
