What a Glorious Day that will Be

This evening I got a bit frustrated with the changes that suddenly happened (again) while I was trying to edit on my wordpress blog. They have developed a new format, and there must be some glitches that have been happening; it’s very discouraging for me because I’m so NOT tech savvy, and tech changes are extra hard for me.

Anyway, this song popped into my head that I haven’t heard for a very long time, and I couldn’t remember all the words. It is such a comforting song about that glorious day when we will see Jesus, so I decided to share the best YouTube version I could find. This one is sung a cappella, but the harmony and the words are so beautiful and peaceful, and the bass singer is really good! The pictures are really beautiful, as well!  I hope you enjoy this like I did.

Peace!

“What a Day that will Be”   by:  Jim Hill

There is coming a day,
When no heart aches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky,
No more tears to dim the eye,
All is peace forever more,
On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

Chorus:
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

There’ll be no sorrow there,
No more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no more pain,
No more parting over there;
And forever I will be,
With the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

Chorus:
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day, glorious day that will be.

    1. Thank you, Valerie! I try not to either, but this is the third time my blog has just done it’s own thing. I had to write the support desk and ask them to put it back the way it was. I hope they can. The last two times they haven’t known how to help.

    1. Yes, Vanessa, we used to sing it faster, also, but I couldn’t find a YouTube video that corresponded to my memories of how we used to sing it, and this harmony was so beautiful.
      Thanks for dropping by and listening to the music with me! ❤ I, too, am looking forward to that glorious day! 😊

  1. Aww—Tech issues are so discouraging! It takes time from creativity…but we can’t be creative without conquering the issues. Ugh! I pray you begin to grasp how to process the glitches and are comforted by the thought of a world without glitches someday!

    1. Yes, Amy, that will be wonderful! I wonder if God doesn’t allow glitches so we will hope for the better and best that He has waiting for us…. At any rate, I’m glad that He is preparing something truly awesome for us look forward to! 😊
      Thank you for your kind words and prayers.

  2. Love the acapella harmony. It reminds me of my family reunions, ha! Not trying to toot my horn, but I made a post a month or two ago with screenshots and instructions on using the new editor, and a few people said it helped them. 🙂

    1. I’d love to BE at a reunion like that!
      Thanks for mentioning your post. I actually read it, like twice, and it is helpful, indeed! The problem is not the blocks, but rather glitches of some sort of in-between morph between the old and the new that have happened about three times now.
