O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth, You who have displayed Your glory above the heavens, farther than the eye or the strongest telescope can see in every direction over the sphere of the earth! (Psalm 8:1)
That same You came up with a wonderful plan to save any or all of humanity who would believe!
That same You took on a body and lived among us for a while so we could see Your glory in a different way, through Your grace and truth. (John 1:14)
Thank You, Jesus, for going to the cross, as was prophesied (Psalm 22:16) and becoming my Passover sacrifice, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)
Everything You suffered was awful, but You took the sins of each of us upon Yourself so we could be forgiven of all of them and so You would be able to pass over us in the judgment because the justice that You require for sin has already been paid in full by Your Son. Thank You!
Lord, I bow before You now, remembering Your suffering on the cross, and I accept from You the splendor of Your grace that You offer as a gift.
I surrender to You my heart that so easily strays from obeying You.
I owe You a great debt that I can never pay back; You have stamped it paid in full because of the cross and what Jesus did for me there. Thank You, Lord!
Bless the Lord, oh my soul! (Psalm 103:1)
