You’re driving your car and approach the traffic light, which is red. You’re still slowing down, coming to a stop, and the guy behind you blows his horn.
Irritated, you look back up at the light and realize that it’s turned green. You need to make an immediate adjustment.
You realize that you took your eyes off the light and were unaware that it had changed.
How many times do we go through the Journey of Life in the same way?
We look at the Light of the World and make our decisions on what to do, but then we get our eyes off the Light and misjudge what we should be doing or not doing. We need to make an immediate adjustment.
In this journey called Life, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus, the Light of World, just as surely as we need to keep our eyes on the road and its signals and signs when we are driving.
God gives us instructions each day and throughout the day, and we need to make sure that we’re looking at Him at all times.
Let’s keep our eyes on the Light today!
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105
