Day 3 of 365 Days of Thanks

Today I’m thankful for safety on the roads.  It’s incredible how we get in the car day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, and the Lord brings us safely to our destinations.

Whether we are driving, biking, walking, or taking public transport, how often do we think about the hundreds and thousands of days that we have arrived safely?  It can become so routine, that we forget to be thankful.  And even if we have an accident and are seriously injured, we may have a tendency to be upset for the one time where we weren’t kept safe instead of being thankful for all the times we were.

I’ve found, at times, that it’s easy to take things for granted until they aren’t there anymore.

Today I choose to be thankful for what I do have instead of focusing on what I don’t have.

Would you care to join me on this journey of thankfulness?
