Day 16 of 365 Days of Thanks – Learning from a Broken Toe

The last three weeks I have become more aware of just how important our toes and feet are.

I broke my toe.

It’s my first broken bone ever, and it’s no walk in the park! 😂😂 Haha!

I went from walking miles to hobbling around in a post-op boot.

The doctor told me to wear the boot for 2 or 3 weeks, which gave me the wrong idea that my toe and foot would be all better by then! 😆 😆 Ha! Shows how much I know!

Well, guess what I’m thankful for today?

Today I’m thankful for toes and feet!

It’s amazing how much we take for granted until suddenly we don’t have it anymore!

These special lower extremities of our legs do a lot of work for us every day!

Not having proper function of my toe made me realize the importance of my toes and feet.

I guess I should take better care of mine.

I certainly am more thankful for them now!

What about you? Are you thankful for your feet? Have you ever had a broken toe or foot? If so, how long did it take to heal?

  1. So sorry to hear about your toe! Yes, I have broken my toe and it was much worse than I expected. Lifting you in prayer right now! I love how you took a difficult time and turned even that into a prayer of thanks. May God bless you and bring you full healing.
