Some days just seem to be harder than others.
Gray Mondays after a time change might just fall into that category.
I know I had troubles getting going today. Did you?
But it wasn’t a bad day.
It’s days like this where I’m especially thankful that I’m held in the hand of the Good Shepherd.
I’m glad He knows me and I know Him! I’m glad He speaks to me and enables me to hear Him (even if He tells me to wash the dishes! 😊)
I’m so glad He’s always near, whispering how much He loves and cares for us!
Today I am thankful that I’m loved by the Good Shepherd and held firmly in His hand!
How about You? Are you a follower of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ? When He speaks do you know His voice?
Jesus said,
“14I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” John:10:14,27-29 ESV
(P. S. If you read yesterday’s post and had hoped to comment, I finally figured out how to open the comments again. I don’t know how they got closed, but I apologize for the inconvenience and would still love to hear from you!)
The time change has made me sluggish as well. Today I have a full day of working with my aged relative and a difficult doctor’s appointment with her. Praying the extra hour had the opposite effect on her and she can accept her new “normal” sensibly. Aging is hard, but I hope she can find joy in the new challenges. Amen!

Just read a little about your daughters diagnosis. I pray you have solid direction and supportive medical care as you walk this journey together. In the name of Jesus, let it be so. Amen.

Thank you so much for your prayers! Agreeing with you before the Throne of Grace.
My daughter’s two chief concerns that she would like to see addressed are the pain from her TMJ and the heart palpitations when at rest that she gets sometimes for no apparent reason. Prayers for these to be addressed successfully would be much appreciated!

TMJ.., I knew someone who had that and it’s harsh! The heart palpitations are kinda scary; seems like they could figure that out, doesn’t it? I’m taking both of those to the King right this minute. and including prayers these new doctors are more successful at finding solutions. Amen!

Thank you so much, Cecilia! Yes, this diagnosis should help. Last year their best guess was that she had anxiety. They’re so quick to pick up on anxiety and chalk it up to psychological stress without looking for physical reasons. It’s been quite a trip.

I hope your day went well and that your relative was cooperative. I prayed with you earlier in the day but wasn’t able to respond to comments till now.
I, too, pray that she will find joy in the new challenges.

Oh Amen. We have such a Good Shepherd. And no matter what the day brings, He surely will hold us so safely on His path. Blessings to you this week!
