Worship with me #67

Hi, and welcome to Worship with me! This past month I’ve been trying to obey God in His call to write something I’m thankful to Him for every day. While each of those days is about thanking Him, I’m realizing that writing about being thankful does not go as deep as just being still before God and worshiping Him, even though worshiping Him can include thanks as a part of the whole.

So, I would like to get back to writing this worship series, all the while continuing the daily thanks series.

Since this writing every day is more intensive for me than what I’m used to, I have been and plan to continue to incorporate my life update posts into the 365 days of Thankfulness posts.

Anyway, let’s worship the Lord together, shall we?

Thank You, Lord, for inviting us to be still and know that You are God! You have always been God and always will be God. There’s never been a time when You were not God! There’s never been a time when You weren’t good or gracious or faithful! There’s never been a time when You weren’t Holy, Powerful, Wise, or Worthy of all praise and honor and glory!

You are the Light that shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome You, no, not ever!

Please shine Your light in our hearts and chase away the darkness. Take away our heavy burdens; we surrender them to You, for You will know what to do with them. Cleanse us from our sins as we surrender them to You.

Bring healing where it is needed, for You are able, and nothing is too hard for You! Please carry us over the hard terrain of our lives, holding us close to Your heart. Restore unto us the joy of Your salvation, and renew a right spirit within us.

Be glorified in our hearts, our families, our churches, our communities, and our world. For You are the King of kings and Lord of lords! May your Kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives and the lives of those around us today and forever! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
