Life is not perfect on this Earth. In fact my life has had plenty of difficulties.
I’ve had sicknesses but was healed each time, chronic illness which doesn’t go away, pain, heartache, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and more. There were certainly times during all of that where I was not so thankful to be alive.
In fact, the heartache and depression were probably the hardest, and there were times where I wished God would just take me home.
But today, looking back, I can see that God has had a purpose in keeping me here on this Earth.
If He had taken me home way back when I wanted Him to, there are so many people I would not have met, including all of you, my WordPress friends, so many things I would not have learned, children I would not have birthed, grandchildren I would not have met, and so many ways that I would not have been able to serve Him.
It really is hard when going through difficulties to imagine that it’s really true that God can bring good out of the hardships.
I’m so glad He left me here to experience the truth of his promises!
He truly does make a way where there seems to be no way! He really can make a river in the wilderness or bring us to the other side.
Today I am thankful to be alive! I am so thankful to have experienced God as He walked through the difficulties of life with me! I am thankful for the opportunity to share this time with you, my friends and fellow travelers!
What about you? Are you glad to be alive? Or are you going through a trial right now where you just can’t see how anything good can come out of all this?
Take heart! Be of good courage! Keep walking with God, and wait on Him! He has something wonderful for you somewhere up ahead! Don’t give up! He will see you through!
Totally awesome!
