Wednesday morning we woke to a winter wonderland! My daughter and I had planned the night before to get up at a good hour in order to be at the pharmacy when it opened. When she saw the snow, she needed a little extra motivation, so I drove through Bread Co and got her a breakfast sandwich on our way to the pharmacy. I had her take a few pictures of the snow through the car windows as I drove.
After we picked up her meds and ran a couple of other quick errands, we went to the school so she could perform her music and platform storytelling events in Chapel.
She is doing these in Chapel as practice for a competition which is coming up in March. I love the way she sings this song, “What a Beautiful Name It Is with Agnus Dei”.
Next, we swung by our church in search of something, and I stopped to take a few pictures of the stained glass windows, which look so pretty with the light shining through them.
This evening I prayed with my prayer buddy. Afterwards, my daughter and I went to choir practice. I’m enjoying singing the Easter songs we’re practicing. Some of them are so worshipful. And I feel a need for more of that in my life right now.
Today I’m thankful for the beauty of the snow that we got to see this morning.
I’m thankful for the availability of medicine that helps my daughter not have so much pain.
I’m thankful that she is doing well as she prepares for this competition.
I’m thankful for the time we can spend together.
I’m thankful for the beauty of stained glass windows, for the faithfulness of my prayer buddy, and for the beautiful, worshipful Easter songs that we’re learning in choir.
And, I’m thankful that God’s presence was interwoven between all of the events of this day, that He invites us to pray, and that He is faithful to hear our prayer.
What about you? As you’ve gone through your day today, what are you thankful for?
