The adventure of the last few days was over Saturday morning as my husband and I returned the rental car safe and sound to its owners. The parking lot was crowded with lots more cars than at other times when we’ve returned a rental. The worker was very friendly! Before checking the mileage, she visibly checked herself and remembered to ask us if we had any symptoms of COVID-19. Praise God, the answer was and still is “no”!
When we got back home, I noticed that more signs of spring had appeared in the four days that we were gone.

The rise of a pandemic of disease and the prevalence of fear in many cannot stop the coming of spring. God continues to shower us with blessings!
This reminds me of the verse that assures us that nothing can separate us from God’s love:
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38,39 NASB
To paraphrase for our current crisis:
I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor COVID-19, nor fears that assail, nor lack of toilet paper, nor sheltering in, nor isolation, nor the loss of a paycheck, nor the disruption of our routine, nor any other thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The angst caused by separation from others and from culture as we have known it may be real, but we cannot be separated from God’s love no matter what is going on around us!
Today I’m thankful for friendly workers.
I’m thankful that spring is here!
And I’m thankful that not one thing about this COVID-19 crisis will be able to separate us from God’s love!
Where is God in the midst of confusion?
Right there with us, still loving us and extending His hand to help us and hold us when we come to Him. He’s still right there showering us with all kinds of blessings!
What about you? Are you thankful that spring has arrived? How does it make you feel to know that nothing, not one single thing, can separate you from God’s love? Can you think of something to add to the paraphrase above?
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1 GW
AMEN AMEN!! ❤
Glad you're back home safe. 😀

Lovely photos and wonderful thoughts. I’m glad that nothing can separate us from God’s love and that our weather has been so nice this Spring. Last year we had so much rain that we ended up with a mold problem in our suite. God was amazing through that. I’m sure that He’ll be just as amazing through this pandemic.
