Today I’m having a tired day. I slept in till 9:30, had a little breakfast, administered a physical science test to my daughter, then took pictures of the test and texted them to the school for grading. Later, I quizzed her in another subject.
I also spoke with the teleworking, appointment-making person (obviously not her real title LOL đ) at my daughter’s pain clinic. We had to make a choice of whether to keep her appointment via Zoom or to reschedule. We were assured that refills for her medication would not be a problem if we rescheduled, so we went with that option.
Our teleworking church administrative assistant called; she is updating the church roster. She got an earful of our parakeet chirping loudly while my husband and I verified our contact info! đ
I had a short-but-sweet, interesting conversation with my teleworking college student at lunch time. And my teleworking husband took the dog out for a walk. By the way, Lilly is 93 in doggie years!
I realized that I had forgotten to put in my ear drops for my swimmer’s ear, so I decided to lay down and take care of that for a while and blog at the same time.
I also started thinking about random happy thoughts. Why not?
Exciting stuff! LOL
But hey, we’re together and we’re well. That’s something to be thankful for!
Today I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful that we’re together and well. I’m thankful for the sunshine coming through my windows. I’m thankful for helpful teleworkers.
And while I’m at it, I’m thankful for hot fudge sundaes, beautiful gardens in the spring, the magnolia trees that have been blooming for a couple of days, azaleas, and chocolate chip cookies!
What about you? How is all this teleworking affecting you? What are you thankful for today?
Nice.
Today, I am thankful for relaxing times. When I don’t have to do anything or go anywhere.

And I forgot something. I’m thankful for my mom. Too many times has we go through the teen years of life, we tend to sadly, forget about our parents. Recently, I realized how special my mom has been in my life, and our relationship with each other has blossomed!

Yes, being together and well is definitely something to be thankful for! And you’re laughing! Thatâs good too. I’m having a tired day, too. But I managed to get the vacuuming done and part of the kitchen. So I’m thankful for that.
I’m starting to wonder if WordPress dropped you from my follows or if I’m just not seeing you in my feed. Sometimes it decides to drop people. Wait a minute… I found you on the readers thing. That means you must still be in my follows. Okay, I don’t know why I didn’t see you in my notifications. I’ll have to check my settings.

Yes! When I am tired I laugh quietly, but Iâm still laughing inside.đ
Thatâs great that you got the vacuuming done even though you were tired! Kitchen countertops and loading the dishwasher were more my speed today.
You probably just followed me on the reader. If you want to get emails from my site, you can go to my actual site (using Chrome or Firefox, etc., not WP app). I have two follow buttons, one for email followers, and another for WP followers. You can sign up as an email follower. Iâm happy we found each other! đ

This morning I am so thankful for the comforting sounds of silence as my husband and I sit in self-quarantine (we are older and therefore more at risk) sipping our coffee. I am so thankful for the beautiful skies out my window that give no hints to the virus. Iâm thankful for all of our technology that keeps us connected and for a silly little puzzle that is challenging my mind. I’m thankful for our authorities and first responders who are on top of every aspect of this viral threat and to outside threats too, so we may sleep peacefully. Iâm grateful and thankful for my God who is always faithful and foundational even when the world is not.

Yes, so many things for which to be thankful! Silence is good when the soul is peacefully anchored in God! The heavens declare His glory and remind us that He is still in control. And yes, praise God for all the hard work these people are doing for us, and may the Lord give them strength and wisdom for each day.

Iâm retired, so Iâm not teleworking, but I am staying in touch with our children and their families via FaceTime. I really miss seeing the people at church, so my husband and I have been calling some of them just to check in. We are all in this together, and as long as we keep God in the center of our lives, it will all be okay.

Yes, the ability to FaceTime or use other similar apps is such a blessing! It would be so much harder during this time if we didn’t have these modern technologies!
Yes, the most important thing is to keep God as center! He is the anchor for our souls in the storms of life!
