Day 192-Thankful for the Way Maker

The last few days I’ve had the song “Way Maker”, by Mandisa, running through my head over and over again. Even after I listened multiple times and posted Josh Groban’s song, “You Raise Me Up” in my last post, I still woke up the next morning with “Way Maker” running through my head.

The part that keeps going through my head is

“You are

Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper,

Light in the darkness my God

That is who you are…”

Here is the song with lyrics so you can listen and enjoy it with me:

Extremely difficult trials have hit our country and our world this year.

  • Do we really believe that God is the Way maker?
  • Have we fervently prayed that He will make a way?
  • Have we asked Him to do a miracle, believing that He is able?
  • Have we acquainted ourselves with His promises and claimed them before His Holy throne?
  • Have we pleaded with Him to shine His Light and chase away the darkness?

Let’s do so today! Let’s believe He is who He says He is! Let’s stand on His promises and watch expectantly for the miracles that He wants to perform!

“See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”  Isaiah 43:19 NIV

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'”

Today I’m thankful that God is the Way Maker!

I’m thankful that He is able to make a way for us through or around all the obstacles and impasses of life.

I’m thankful that He invites us to come to Him with our fervent petitions, and He listens and answers!

I’m thankful that He is the Light, and that the darkness cannot help but flee when He walks into the room!

I’m thankful that He is faithful to keep His promises!

And, I’m thankful that He still works miracles today!

What about you?  Are you thankful that God is the Way maker?  Are you ready to trust Him for a miracle?  Have you ever heard this song before?
