Day 208- Thankful that my Honey shared his honey

I’ve been so busy with gardening, doctors and physical therapy visits, and more recently, storm damage clean up, that I haven’t been blogging my thanks here everyday. But I have been writing a list.

A week or so ago my husband met someone who sells specialty honey made by bees which visit a peach orchard. He bought two bear-shaped containers full and gave one of them to me! Isn’t he a sweet honey bear! 🐻

It’s really good honey, and if you eat it straight from a spoon, it has a light peach aftertaste. It’s quite delicious! 😊

It feels so good to be thought of and treated kindly, I’m sure you’ll agree.  Wouldn’t it be great if we would each be on the lookout for ways to show those we love that we’ve been thinking of them, even when we see them often?

God’s kindness is so empowering and encourages us to continue on even in, and maybe especially in, the trials of life.  Our kindness should reflect His kindness, and His power will be released to bring about good in the lives of those to whom we show kindness.

“God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance.”  Romans 2:4b

Today I’m thankful for bees, beekeepers, and peach orchards.

I’m thankful for honey and for my sweet Honey’s generosity!

What about you? Do you like honey? Have you ever tried any specialty honey made out of fruit blossoms? Can you think of a time when someone special to you gave you a special gift “just because”, to show you they were thinking of you? How did it make you feel? Do you show that same kindness to others?

  1. Great post.
We love honey too, and we are a great admirers of bees !
In addition to honey, we also love beeswax candles, which give a beautiful warm glow, and which help to purify the air. 🤗🌷

  2. Always an encouraging and thought provoking read, Ruth. It is so sweet to reflect our Saviors love through thinking of others and letting them know that they are on our hearts. Thanks for the heartfelt reminder. ❤

  3. I’m thankful for a husband who helps–whether it’s grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, kitchen clean-up, or taking care of the floors, he is ready to either pitch in or do it himself! In such ways he demonstrates his lovingkindness every day. (I know–I’m spoiled!)
