Hello, friends! I hope all is well with you! I’ve found that even when everything is not the way we had hoped it would be, if we will praise the Lord anyway, He will come near to us and help us. Here’s a prayer of praise to jumpstart your own praises; please join me!

Thank You, Lord, for the way You wake us up some days with a song in our hearts!

Thank You that even though we have trials and struggles, You pour out grace into our lives every day!

Thank You for the singing of the birds, the chorus of crickets, the choir of locusts filling the airwaves with their music!

Thank You for the refreshing rain and for the quiet pitter patter that crescendos and decrescendos! Thank You for the peacefulness of a steady rain and for the excitement of the sudden downpour and for how it cools the summer air, softens the hard ground, washes dirt from the trees and other plants and gives them the drink that they were so yearning for.

Thank You that You give us those drinks that we are so yearning for as well! You give us friends and family, jobs, and a purpose. And even when all seems lost, You give us Yourself, Your love, Your help, Your listening ear, Your compassionate heart.

Thank You for music that feeds the soul good things, that sometimes energizes and sometimes calms and sometimes lifts our hearts toward heaven and Your very throne of grace!

I praise Your name, LORD! Today and forever You are worthy of our praise!
