I am embarrassed to admit how long it has been since the gifted young Christian author at Teen Meet God nominated me for this Sunshine Blogger Award. You’ll have to click on the link to her page to find out! She also has a second blog called Shaes Days that you might want to check out also.
Thank you, Shae, for the nomination! I enjoy reading your posts! 🙂
Life can get kind of crazy sometimes, and mine surely has been for a number of months.
Anyway, here are the rules I get to follow:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you.
- Answer the 11 questions asked.
- Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 new questions.
- List the rules and include the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post.
So, now I’ll try to answer the questions Shae has asked as briefly as possible:
What do you love about where you live? I love Springtime with all its flowers and new life.
Who is your best friend? Jesus
What is your testimony? I asked Jesus into my heart when I was 6 years old. I didn’t totally understand what all that meant, but God knew my heart, that I was sincere. So, He gave me other opportunities to commit my life to Him as I got older. At age 9 I realized that I needed to ask for forgiveness, so I did. At 13 I felt God moving strongly in my heart to start reading His word daily, so I did. I was baptized at age 16. At 19 I had doubts about my salvation, but then I remembered what Paul told the Philippian jailer: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.” I realized that I did believe, and therefore I was saved, and it didn’t matter exactly when the exact time was that I believed, just that I believed.
Why did you start a blog? short answer, to share the thoughts and poems that God had given me. Long answer, https://plantedbylivingwater.wordpress.com/2015/07/31/hello-world/
What is your daily routine? My life is too crazy to have a daily routine.
Are you an animal person? I like animals, especially horses, but given a choice, I prefer people.
What is your favorite color? burgundy and magenta
Who is your favorite band/artist? I love variety in music, so I don’t really have a favorite.
Who has been a big blessing in your life? My husband. God used him to help me believe again that I could be loved after a long time in the wilderness of life.
Can you play an instrument? If not, what would you like to learn? I play the piano and guitar, but I haven’t played guitar much lately. I used to play a little bit on the ukulele, but I don’t even know where my little instrument is anymore.
Tell of an experience in which God spoke to you and taught you something. There are so many, how to choose one. You could read my blog posts….
Now for my nominees:
Kaitlyn Bouchillon – It Just Takes One

What do you like to do with your family?

Congrats on the award, such a positive one and you are so deserving of it!!!
I love how God drew you closer to Him in stages, I really relate. I gave my life to Him at my swingset when I was four years old, not led by an adult. But I remember that day. However, I was under the misconception whenever you sinned you had to go over the sinner’s prayer and this is not so. Repenting yes, receiving Christ into my heart no. I started to really get close to Him at 13 and it was around that time I also decided to get baptized. It was a very special moment showing the Lord He was my King to others and my desire to grow closer to Him. ❤ Thank you so much for glorifying Him in your blog!
And thank you for thinking of me with the nomination!

Thank you, T.R., precious in the eyes of the Lord! 🙂
Thank you for sharing your testimony with me! The Lord is so patient with us; He developed our minds, and He knows our every thought, including our capabilities to understand concepts. Praise His name for leading us along to a greater knowledge and faith in Him!
I hope and pray that this blog will bring Him glory. He alone is worthy!
And lastly, no problem! You work so hard on your blog and I love reading it! 🙂

Thank you, Savannah! Yes, it can! I just hopped over to your blog; I haven’t checked in there for a while. Sorry! Yeah, sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Being spread too thin means a lot of things get neglected in one way or another. We are only human beings, and there are only 24 hours in a day, and we have to sleep and eat during part of that time.
I hope things are going better for you!
Blessings! 🙂
